Advice On People Who Mirror The Behaviors Of Others

Image
Photo Credit: www.Alamy.com Stock Photo Hello Everyone! I had forgotten that I had originally started this tidbit of advice, on Quora, and it was sitting idle in the draft section. Well, it is high time to pull out this writing, edit it, and get it shoved right out to Quora-land! I try to only respond to questions specifically requested for me to respond. However, I am not above offering unsolicited advice. People either take it or leave it. I will try to answer a question even if I think the author is messing around with me. Regardless, I try to tackle it in a serious manner. You never know if someone is really struggling with a choice and my viewpoint helps them make a proper decision. This question is asking if mirroring another person's behavior is intended to make the other person feel comfortable? The short answer is NO!! I see nothing comforting or helpful about manipulating a situation in order to get another soul to drop their guard and become open for the ot

Advice On What To Do When You Get The Silent Treatment

Image
Photo Credit: Professional-Counseling.com Hello Everyone! I checked out questions specifically requested for my reply on Quora. This question was on how to navigate the silent treatment. Who doesn't like the silent treatment? I prefer that any day to the "verbal Olympics" of a shouting match. I am humored with the possibility that these questions are meant as a joke. It is even funnier if it is a legit question. Nonetheless, here is my take on this question posed on Quora: POSED QUESTION: "What does it mean if everyone goes out of their way to ignore you?" -Kelsa Baker MY RESPONSE: "If everyone goes out of their way to ignore you, they are passive aggressively trying to let you know that they are not accepting some form of your behavior. Whether it be your words or something you did. If a group of people simultaneously join in all together to give the silent treatment, you must be doing something wrong. Either that or they are all an over sensi

Just Released- My Rear Wiper Assembly Replacement Tutorial!

Image
Hello Everyone! I am sharing my very first attempt at doing a tutorial. I used Wonder Share Filmora Video Software to create the video. I have never ever created a video with a bunch of clips before. My goal is to practice and get better at working on the tutorials. That is, if there is an interest in the content. I avoid going to the car dealership if I can avoid it. The prices for parts are high at a dealership. Therefore, I first tried buying the wiper assembly at a parts store and online at Rock Auto with no luck. The replacement rear wiper blade assembly was purchased on Amazon: HODEE Rear Wiper Arm Blade Nut Set Replacement for Honda CR-V 2017-2019, Rear Wiper Cover Accessories Assembly, Wiper Cap Set For Back Windshield Window- via the Hodee Store. The part came quickly in the mail and was relatively easy to assemble. I popped the housing on the end of the wiper assembly, used channel locks to remove nut, remove entire old assembly, hook main assembly to the middle o

We Ripped Up Carpet Glued Down With A Stripper This Weekend!

Image
Hello Everyone! Melissa and I ripped up some carpet, that was heavily glued down, in her basement over the weekend. This is at Melissa's house. We went to rent a carpet stripper over the weekend at Home Depot. I even placed some videos in the Spotlight section on Snapchat. The machine sure felt heavier than 132 lbs. when we were loading and unloading into the truck! You need to put some ass into the machine to propel it forward. If you weigh the same amount as the machine, you will struggle with moving it forward. It is these moments where I don't mind being built like a brick shit house. The best method we found was for Melissa to cut the carpet with a knife into strips. While I was pushing the machine, she was pulling up the strips of carpet. The "just pushing" method would have made the project go much slower. The glue on the floor made it a challenge as well. I kept losing my shoe in the glue. For the record, I have a brand new tattoo on my right f

Weekend Fight In The Diner- On YouTube!

Image
Hello Everyone! Melissa and I were sitting down to eat some breakfast at a local diner in Danbury, CT over the past weekend. While in the process of walking towards the table, we felt some eyes on us at a nearby table. I ignored it and go on to ordering my food. We kept hearing some arguing and some nasty comments at the same table. Before we know it, we hear even louder arguing. The videos do not do the situation justice. These women were yelling and screaming very loudly. It appeared that the group was mad about the older woman dropping napkins at their table. The woman felt disrespected. It was at this point where I decided to record the screaming, while in the middle of eating my steak and eggs, in video #1. By video #2, they were up from the booth and screaming loudly while walking away. It was almost like they were yelling in sync in a parade going out the door at the door. We finished eating and went out the door. By this point, the matriarch of the group had cal

Advice On How To Avoid Gold Diggers

Image
Hello Everyone! I have a few requests for me to respond to some questions on Quora. I kind of chuckle whenever I hear the term "gold digger". I don't know why I laugh at it or people caught up in the web. It is like bathroom humor. I have no idea why it is funny. It is just funny. I used to think that gold diggers won't impact me as a female. However, I have dealt with a male gold digger back in the day. I tend to be a generous person so I don't mind pitching in on paying for things. However, it got to where the guy would put grocery items in the cart not intended for us to share. It was a long distance relationship so I was not popping up at his house to eat the food during the week day. Who knows if he was using the groceries I bought to feed a side chick during the week. I finally put my foot down and stopped the nonsense and walked away. He would have taken advantage of me forever if I had continued to allow it. The funny thing is, after a yea

Just Released- Podcast Episode #22: "The Importance Of Fatherhood After Divorce"

Image
Photo Credits: Issued Cup As A Joke To My Step Dad Doug 😛And Shared With My Friends And Family On Social Media, 2021 Hello Everyone! Now that I returned from my trip out to Nashville, Tennessee, I finished editing podcast Episode #22: The Importance Of Fatherhood After Divorce. It just so happens that Father's Day was observed last week here in the United States. Can anyone tell me if this day is observed in other countries? I am humored by the single mothers who look for recognition on Father's Day. I say it to my eldest son each year. For this year, my son said, "Happy Hybrid Day"- a blend of both Mother's & Father's Day. :P Therefore, I shall dedicate this episode to great fathers everywhere. I was a daddy's girl as a kid. Therefore, I recognize the importance of a father in a child's life. I learned many lessons from my dad that I didn't learn from my mom. On the contrary, my mom taught me things that my dad was not equipped

Sharing My New Illustrator's Sketches- "Not All Girls Play With Dolls"

Image
Hello Everyone! After a two year hiatus, I decided to get back on the horse again and move forward with the illustration process of my children's book. The absolute best website out there to collaborate with people, from all around the globe, for various types of work at reasonable prices is Fiverr!! I was previously trying to do the work privately and that project got dropped hard and fell on it's head. I really wish I had known about and used Fiverr previously. All transactions go through the website so you have an electronic paper trail. Each person, either buyer or seller, gets a review on the website for each transaction. Based upon reviews, you can figure out if you want to work with the person or not. Obviously, your goal is to get the best reviews possible. I am a relatively new member on Fiverr. I had first used the website to create my podcast logo. Later on, I used a sound engineer to clean up some podcast episodes. There are also writers, filmmakers, sou

My Crazy Adventures And Observations In Nashville, Tennessee!!

Image
Hello Everyone! As you know, I have been off the grid for the past week. I averaged about 3-6 hours of sleep a night while away. Therefore, blogging was not on my dating card much less my vacation schedule. I joined some friends and went to Nashville, Tennessee for our very first time. For anyone not aware, Nashville is the mecca, within the United States, for country music and opportunities to make it big within the recording industry. I first anticipated it to be a town with a few bars in it and some country music inspired attractions. Meanwhile, I left the airport, checked into the hotel, cleaned up, and headed into downtown Nashville on the first night. I was surprised to see quite a few high rise buildings!! I counted at least 25 cranes in use from the drive in the suburbs to downtown Nashville!! The amount of construction in Nashville is amazing and absolutely booming!! I didn't get to Broadway until night two and that was another nice surprise. For about three b

How Long Do You Wait To Hear The "L" Word?

Image
Hello Everyone! I found another question request that I guess came from a very young person. This question has a name. However, I cannot tell if it is male or female. I blame this on a female!! :P I would like to believe that it is a female that taps their foot waiting for their boyfriend to say "I love you". Why pressure a person to drop that phrase? People should enjoy the moment and ride that high of endorphins for as long as possible. Instead of thinking there is something wrong, just relish in those random acts of kindness. One never knows if and when a snag in the road will happen. Therefore, just relax and enjoy the romantic ride for as long as possible. The constant release of endorphins during the initial stages of a relationship, especially with mutual chemistry, is better than any drug. Love is mighty powerful. It is the reason for wars, fist fights, movies, songs, good or bad habits, jail time, murder, etc. As much as some people say they don't
