Happy Holidays To All!

Image
Hello everyone! I am hanging out with my family this weekend enjoying Christmas Eve and Christmas day.  It is a process each year shopping and offering gifts. I enjoy offering gifts if they are appreciated. I am glad my kids are older so I don't have to hide them or go crazy figuring out how to fill up the bottom of the tree. I am sure my boys will load the tree up like I did when they have kids some day. I do look forward to shopping for my grandkids some day. Now that Christmas has passed, I am working a little at a time on my children's book project. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of Spring 2018. I am working with Harry from #AveiraStudios on the illustrations for the book. I hope, anyone who celebrates it, you enjoy the holidays and the upcoming New Year's Eve party. As always, thanks for stopping by my blog. Cheers! Leslie M Jasper

The Book Cover For My Children's Book: Not All Girls Play With Dolls

Hi everyone, I received my book cover last week for my first children's book entitled, Not All Girls Play With Dolls. I am looking forward to seeing the pages of the book come to life. I am thrilled to be working with Harry from #AveiraStudios on my children's book. I was referred to Harry from fellow authors I have networked with at past book expos. The character created for my book resembles my childhood photos. Of course I will share a sneak peek of the illustrations when they become available. This is my first children's book that I hope will be well received by young girls all over the world. I decided to write about my childhood experiences that were unique in nature. My dad encouraged me to push the envelope and tap into my abilities that I didn't know I even had. My relationship with my father definitely contributed to my career choice to become an electrician. Dad strongly encouraged me to start my electrical career in the military. I was driving into

Hi everyone, I am working with an illustrator, out of Indonesia, to create my first children's book. The book is entitled, "Not All Girls Play With Dolls". The preview of the book cover will be coming at the end of the week. I am excited to get this book released by the end of the year. The book is about a little daddy's girl who grows up liking to do boy things. Her dad has her working in the shop. Her dad sees her talent before she does. He works to develop her talents and push her boundaries to see what she is capable of doing. She discovers in high school, via taking the military entrance exam, that she is mechanically inclined. Meanwhile, her dad already knew that. Her dad would often tell her, "you are smart and strong and can do anything a boy can do only better." The young woman graduates high school and goes right into the military as an electrician. I This book is about my early beginnings and my relationship with my dad. He guided me and pushe
