We were involved in replacing the electrical equipment for platforms at many train stations that took commuters into New York City for work and pleasure.  I will write about those experiences in my next book. I worked on the railroad pregnant too...interesting stories. I will talk to you all later!  Cheers!  Leslie M Jasper (Stakley)

I will keep you posted on the status of the project when I get news. The book is going to be created into a webisode. Once created, it will be submitted to 3 Hollywood studios for submission and feedback. I am excited about seeing the project come to live on television/film.  *Update** *As of now, I have not seen any media material developed. They all offer a similar yet slightly different perspective on working as a woman in construction. I plan to read the following books and provide a review . Have a great week! I will give a review ASAP  Cheers! Leslie M Jasper (future Stakley)

I am signed up with them to promote the book on a global scale. I am hoping that people from another country would be interested in the book. I am open to translating it into different languages and any other opportunity. I am going to see if it is indeed 50% off price for the ad. It will be at the New Delhi Book Fair in India. I am hoping to tape in the Indian market or the Asian market. I will see which book fairs are coming up and attempt to reach out internationally. If any agents read my blog, I am open to exploring many different avenues. I will keep you posted if I end up signing up as well as the finished product. Here is an example of the last ad I placed in IPR License Magazine. It was at the German Book Fair back in October 2014. Everyone stay warm and read lots o

We spent two nights a week for a little over 5 years together in a classroom. Now we have all gotten married, had children, aged, and went on your own separate ways.  It is good to see an old photo to remember the old days. I figured I would share the photo with you. I hope you are all having a great, productive week! Have a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. I will speak to you all soon! Cheers!  Leslie M Jasper

Here is the link: https://bookarma.net/my-books I periodically will try to promote other authors in an attempt to gain points. These points will help me promote my own book. I decided to give it a try and see if it helps the book. Worst case I can give it a few months and then stop the subscription if I do not think it helps.  The holidays are here and consume a huge amount of my time. I am in the last class for what is known as BIM certification. I have been at it two nights a week for a few months. BIM stands for Building Information Modeling. It is the three dimensional blueprinting used nowadays on big construction sites. My shop uses it for a lot of it's projects in New York City. I plan to keep practicing and use it for work in

I'm starting out with some forums for actors and tv industry people. I will keep working until I reach someone who is interested. I can be reached from most any form of social media that I have for the book. I had one tv producer interested. He works on cop and fireman shows. His people are not ambitious enough to take on the project. However, he said that his contacts were interested and gave good feedback. He said to get a screenwriter and a manager to knock on some

There is no crying in baseball and there are no women in construction. As soon as I heard this come out of his mouth, I thought to myself that this is going to be a very tough job to work on. Imagine a guy who is very tall with a big basketball for a belly that he rubs often. Chester has a giant head of curly salt and pepper hair with an overgrown mustache and a five o’clock shadow. Chester usually wore a cheap netted baseball hat, worn out solid color t-shirts, ragged Dockers pleated knit pants, and moccasins. He does look like an odd character when you first see him and definitely when he opens his mouth and talks to people. Wh

Sorry I have not been able to blog in a little while.  My new job as an electrical engineer/CAD operator in New York City takes huge chunks of time lately.  I have been doing limited Tweeting and Instagram interactions as well..cannot forget Facebook!  However, I did manage to find time to register with IPR License.  They are an international platform for authors out of England.  I am excited to be a part of a new venture.  I am indeed looking for any forms of international offers.  I am assuming that a woman construction worker from New York would be of interest to people outside the United States.  Here is the website for IPR License: http://www.iprlicense.com/Home/Index As part of joining the international author platform, my book gets a spot in an issue of the IPR License Magazine that will be coming out soon.  This magazine will be at the upcomi

I am attaching pics of the article in The Examiner News in the suburbs of New York City.  It is in the Westchester and Putnam County paper this week.  Look for journalist, Bill Primavera, in the Home Guru section for the article.  Thanks for reading and have a great day! I wanted to add that I made exterior cover changes to the teen version.  It will be unavailable only temporarily (next 24 hours).  I had to fix the back cover since I was not satisfied with it being a plain white background.  Thanks again for reading!!  Cheers!
