Happy Holidays To All!

Hello everyone!

I am hanging out with my family this weekend enjoying Christmas Eve and Christmas day.  It is a process each year shopping and offering gifts. I enjoy offering gifts if they are appreciated. I am glad my kids are older so I don't have to hide them or go crazy figuring out how to fill up the bottom of the tree. I am sure my boys will load the tree up like I did when they have kids some day. I do look forward to shopping for my grandkids some day.





Now that Christmas has passed, I am working a little at a time on my children's book project. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of Spring 2018. I am working with Harry from #AveiraStudios on the illustrations for the book. I hope, anyone who celebrates it, you enjoy the holidays and the upcoming New Year's Eve party. I spent part of the weekend up in Syracuse to watch my son and his team WIN the New York state football championship for their division!! There was some snow but not a tremendous amount. We can't leave Syracuse without stopping to get some Syracuse University team gear. It was exciting to watch the game in the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University. The road trip was a 4-hour ride from New York City. I rode up and grabbed my eldest son Tom after work. He is an alumni Carmel Ram so watching his brother be on the field was rewarding. I was happy to see my son come running to look for his brother and I as soon as he could at the end of the game. I will share the pictures and video when I get a chance in another blog post. Originally Posted: Sunday, January 6, 2013 WORKING WITH A CHAUVENIST PIG (Chapter Clip) I will never forget my first day meeting Chester on a job in White Plains.  He shook my hand and commented on my ‘manly’ handshake.  Chester then explained, in a long, dragged out theatrical manner, to me that there were two things that just don’t happen.  There is no crying in baseball and there are no women in construction.  As soon as I heard this come out of his mouth, I thought to myself that this is going to be a very tough job to work on.  Imagine a guy who is very tall with a big basketball for a belly that he rubs often.  Chester has a giant head of curly salt and pepper hair with an overgrown mustache and a five o’clock shadow.  Chester usually wore a cheap netted baseball hat, worn out solid color t-shirts, ragged Dockers pleated knit pants, and moccasins.   He does look like an odd character when you first see him and definitely when he opens his mouth and talks to people.

Coming Soon!! My 1st Children's Book Entitled, Not All Girls Play With Dolls!

Hi everyone, I am working with an illustrator, out of Indonesia, to create my first children's book. The book is entitled, "Not All Girls Play With Dolls". The preview of the book cover will be coming at the end of the week. I am excited to get this book released by the end of the year. The book is about a little daddy's girl who grows up liking to do boy things. Her dad has her working in the shop. Her dad sees her talent before she does. He works to develop her talents and push her boundaries to see what she is capable of doing. She discovers in high school, via taking the military entrance exam, that she is mechanically inclined. Meanwhile, her dad already knew that. Her dad would often tell her, "you are smart and strong and can do anything a boy can do only better."
