New Year's Day- Past Year 2019 Reflection

Image
HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone! I hope and wish that everyone had a SAFE NYE???!! Drunk or sober, it was definitely not the night to be out on the roads last night for any reason. When I worked with the tools, we often referred to NYE as "amateur night".  The rest of the year is reserved for professional drinkers (joke). I kept to myself and watched the festivities on tv last night.  Being a hermit has been my theme for 2019.  I need to force myself to venture out and stop staying in the house. #2020 NEEDS to be better than the last!!👌👌 Upon reflection, I describe the year #2019 as, " going in like a lion and going out like a lamb ".🤔 This has indeed been the monumental year where I no longer accept, " half ass ", " minimal effort ", and " useless lip service " 🤷‍♀️🙏. I had finally put myself to a place where it is " okay " to walk from things that only serve as pain while managing to make one feel less than deserving. So

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy Your Weekend!

hello everyone, I am sharing some Thanksgiving humor and also wishing a great Thanksgiving weekend to all who celebrate.  However you occupy your time this weekend, be sure to laugh, love, and enjoy the moment.  Spend the time as you wish and go with what moves you.  Even if it is non-conventional or it requires the most minimum effort.  If you were a family member who did all of the cooking and cleaning in the past, take a vacation from it and don't feel guilty about the change.  People will either understand or they don't.  The people who don't understand are so accustomed to having the same people, year after year, continue doing everything for them while they sit idle.   I am proposing a grass roots movement for women to create a 👊"HOLIDAY STRIKE"!!👊 hahahahaha!!! 😝 The objective should be to enjoy a simple meal and to re-charge your batteries in order to rediscover peace, light, and love.  I have learned that if things don't offer you pe

First Week of Working The New Job

hello everyone, I figured I would share my first week journey with you. As with everywhere, there is the saturation overload of information. I have to figure out established procedures and then establish some new ones as well. This past week was loaded with getting acclimated to my contractors and the work load that is needed to submit. I'm used to having AutoCAD so having to give it to another person is frustrating. I am sure I will have it before I know it. I am going to jobsites and figuring out what safety issues are of concern and what needs to be addressed. I am fortunate to have the safety rep from the union to serve as guidance to me. I have been taking a series of safety exams in an effort to become the safety manager for the company. It is a responsibility that I take seriously and plan to serve the team to the best of my ability. Overall, it is an exciting journey and an amazing opportunity to build with my team so we can grow. We are determined to continue to grow

New Chapter- Starting A New Career Path on Nov 18, 2019!

hello everyone! I am looking forward to my new upcoming chapter on my career path.  I start a new job offer on Monday November 18, 2019.  The best part is that I get to experience a matriarchal leadership.  It will be very different than my patriarchal experience during my entire career.  I feel like I have been working my entire life for this new opportunity.  My nose has been in the books taking a variety of new safety related certifications and exams for the past few months.  I have dedicated a lot of energy into learning so I have not been focusing on the book- I apologize if you are looking for my posts. My goals are somewhat similar to past jobs.  However, I do (I am honored to do so) get to work with more safety related tasks.  I am aware that there is a lot of responsibility in this arena.  My strengths are being meticulous and paying attention to detail.  This should serve me well.  I do not take responsibilities lightly so my goal is to serve my team well.  The biggest go
